A Lady Named Pearl is a media, education, and entertainment company dedicated to helping girls and women build the confidence to show up, be seen, and lead.

Founded by Linda “Pearl” Fils-Aime, A Lady Named Pearl brings together fashion, personal branding, leadership development, entrepreneurship, media, music, and storytelling to create educational content and transformative experiences for women and girls.

At the heart of the brand is a simple belief:

Confidence can be developed—and when a woman learns how to confidently present herself, communicate her value, and own her presence, it can transform how she leads in business and in life.

Through in-person intensives, online memberships, digital education, speaking, media, and live experiences, A Lady Named Pearl is building a global platform centered around confidence, visibility, and female leadership.

Linda “Pearl” Fils-Aime is the founder and CEO of A Lady Named Pearl and the creator of Pearl School of Modeling, where she uses modeling principles as powerful tools for confidence, personal branding, professional presence, and leadership.

A seasoned professional model, performing artist, author, speaker, educator, and entrepreneur, Pearl began her modeling career walking the runway with the legendary Ebony Fashion Fair, touring throughout the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean.

That experience taught her something that would ultimately shape her life's work: modeling is about far more than fashion.

The posture, movement, presentation, discipline, image awareness, and confidence required on a runway are also powerful skills for women navigating boardrooms, businesses, stages, cameras, networking events, and other highly visible environments.

Pearl later transitioned into business, working in luxury real estate at Fisher Island Real Estate in Miami before becoming a licensed real estate professional and earning her MBA from Clark Atlanta University.

She went on to work as a real estate analyst for a Fortune 1 company and later served as an adjunct business professor at Clark Atlanta University, teaching Leadership and Professional Development from 2011 to 2017.

Her career at the intersection of fashion, business, education, and entertainment ultimately revealed an important opportunity: accomplished women could possess tremendous education, talent, and professional expertise while still struggling with how confidently they showed up, presented themselves, communicated their value, or allowed themselves to be seen.

Pearl knew the tools she had learned throughout her career could help change that.

FROM THE RUNWAY TO THE BOARDROOM

In 2014, Pearl founded Pearl School of Modeling, transforming traditional modeling techniques into tools women and girls could use far beyond the runway.

Today, Pearl School of Modeling teaches principles including:

Camera confidence and posing

Public speaking and communication

Through A Lady Named Pearl Foundation Inc., the company's nonprofit arm, girls ages 9–17 receive access to scholarships, mentorship, modeling-based confidence training, entrepreneurship education, leadership development, and community programming.
