PEARLS HEADED TO NEW YORK FASHION WEEK (FEB 7TH – FEB 9TH)

We are so thankful for our partnership with IMG Models, the producers of NYFW. For the past 3 seasons they have provided VIP tickets for our students of Pearl School of Modeling to attend their fashion shows! Our students receive the opportunity to experience world class fashion shows as well as exposure to the various careers in the fashion industry! #WeArePearls #PearlSchoolofModeling #ALadyNamedPearl

These students receive the honor of attending our trip based on two qualifications:

They have completed two semesters of training at Pearl School of Modeling, and crossed over into the Sisterhood, moreover, have received the title of ‘Pearl of the Class’ for achieving the most points during a given semester.

PEARLS MODEL FOR DAVID’S BRIDAL

The ‘Pearls’ of Pearl School of Modeling served as models for David’s Bridal grand opening at the Mall of Georgia, in Buford, GA on Thursday, January 9th, 2020!

David’s Bridal is a clothier in the United States that specializes in wedding dresses, prom gowns, and other formal wear. It is the largest American bridal-store chain.

PEARL SCHOOL OF MODELING CELEBRATES 5 YEARS IN ATLANTA!

On Sunday, December 1st, Pearl School of Modeling, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, celebrated its 5 year anniversary in downtown Atlanta, at Bio Bio The Beauty Place. Guests in attendance were Kasim Reed (59th Mayor of Atlanta), Trina Parks (1st African American Bond Woman), Terri J Vaughn (Director, Actress) and Rashan Ali (Host of Sister Circle).

Terri J Vaughn and Rashan Ali were honored with the ‘Pearl of Excellence’ Award in a celebration that highlighted students of Pearl School of Modeling in a fashion show featuring Atlanta designers Batu Collections, Geek Junky, Tutus N U, Bahel Wear, and Kulture Couture. Moreover, students presented entrepreneurship projects created at the school.

Heart felt testimonials were given throughout the event from parents and students on the impact the school served in their lives. 

The event was hosted by Mo Quick, radio personality of Streetz 94.5FM, and Renee Knorr served as the Fashion Show commentator.

NEW YORK FASHION WEEK

Pearl School of Modeling attended Fall 2019 New York Fashion Week. Our students received the opportunity to attend the Son Jung Wan Show courtesy of IMG Models.

African Film & Fashion Festival

Pearl Models participate in the 1st Annual African Film & Fashion Festival held in Stone Mountain, GA on Saturday, Oct 21, 2019. Pearl served as the fashion coordinator, managing the four designers highlighted in the show: Janaji Designs, Yama Designs, Kaasi Marie, and Bahael Wear.

Pearl Youth Models in Ludacris Foundation Event

Students of Pearl School of Modeling participated in the Empower ME event produced by the Ludacris Foundation at the Gathering Spot in Atlanta, GA on Saturday, August 31st. The event focused on building confidence in girls and young ladies.

Pearl Hosts Black Pride Fashion Show

Founder of Pearl School of Modeling, Linda “Pearl” Fils-Aime hosted the Black Pride Atlanta Fashion Show at the Georgia Tech Hotel on Saturday, August 31st featuring an array of designers including Dwight Eubanks, Jerome D’monte, talent, and vendors.

Harlem Dream Center – Pearls Give Back during NYFW

Pearl School of Modeling #givesback to the community of New York during New York Fashion Week.

Pearl School of Modeling visited The Dream Center Harlem, and taught the community of girls how to walk the runway and exude confidence. “Life is your runway” says, Ms. Pearl, the founder of Pearl School of Modeling. “After you leave here, carry the same confidence you exude on the runway, everywhere you go.” Students Aniah Lake, TK Hill, and Khella Lazarre served as assistant instructors to founder Ms. Pearl Fils-Aime.
