Betty Marshall – CEO of A Lady Named Pearl Foundation Inc

A Lady Named Pearl Foundation Inc has appointed Betty Marshall as its new CEO. Linda “Pearl” Fils-Aime, the founder will serve as the President.

In the role of CEO, Betty will guide the operations of Pearl School of Modeling, Pearl Model Agency, Pearl Magazine, and Pearl Books, the divisions of ALNP Foundation Inc.  

Pearl and Betty met 12 years ago in Bentonville, AR, while working at corporate Walmart. Pearl served as a real estate analyst, and Betty served as the Regional General Manager/Vice President of Sam’s Club. Pearl and Betty formed a bond, in which Betty served as Pearl’s mentor.

In the role of RVP, for 13 years, Betty was responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of 113 Sam’s Clubs and approximately 10,000 associates within the Southeast Region of the United States which included North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Puerto Rico. Prior to being promoted to Regional General Manager, Mrs. Marshall served as Vice President/Divisional Merchandise Manager for Sam’s Club. Her responsibilities included purchasing, merchandising, sales and profit for all frozen/refrigerated foods and cafes for Sam’s Club’s U.S. locations.

Mrs. Marshall joined Sam’s Club in 2003. Prior to joining Sam’s Club, she served as Chief Administrative Officer and Senior Vice President of The Phoenix Restaurant Group. Prior to her position with Phoenix Restaurant Group, Betty was Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications and Community Relations for Shoney’s Inc., where she provided leadership and served as spokesperson during the company’s critical cultural transformation phase. During her ten year tenure with the company, she was responsible for women/minority business development, corporate communications and corporate image advertising.

When asked about joining the ALNP Foundation Inc team, Ms. Marshall said, “I am honored and energized to be a part of this great organization which builds character, confidence, leadership skills and entrepreneurship in our next generation.”


Linda ‘Pearl’ Fils-Aime – President of “The Pearls’

Linda “Pearl” Fils-Aime is a seasoned fashion model, performing artist, author, speaker, university professor, and the founder of Pearl School of Modeling.

Pearl School of Modeling, established in October of 2014, in Atlanta, GA, is a division of A Lady Named Pearl Foundation Inc 501(c)3. Its mission is to shape the confidence of young women and girls to become future leaders through modeling, leadership and entrepreneurship training.

Ms. Pearl is an expert in teaching transformation, both in the world of modeling and in the world of next generation leadership preparedness.
The modeling industry is often narrow-casted as just about physical appearance and presenting only the façade of the person. However, Linda Pearl Fils-Aime has discovered a new way to upend the old modeling industry to become a tool to help shape future global leaders of all sizes, gender, perspectives and mindsets.

Pearl began her professional career as a model walking the runways for Ebony Fashion Fair, touring the U.S., Canada and Caribbean.
Shortly after touring with Ebony Fashion Fair, Pearl pursued her MBA at Clark Atlanta University. Pearl served as a real estate analyst for a Fortune 1 company from 2008 to 2011, and as an adjunct business school professor at Clark Atlanta University, teaching Leadership and Professional Development from 2011 to 2017.

Lauren Burford – VP of ‘The Pearls’

Lauren is a graduate of Pearl School of Modeling. She crossed over into the Pearl Sisterhood Fall 2019, and was named Vice President of the Pearls in December 2019.

Gail Preddy – Secretary of the Pearls

Gail is a graduate of Pearl School of Modeling. She crossed over into the Pearl Sisterhood Fall 2019, and was named Secretary of the Pearls in February 2020.

Jeysika Henry – Fashion Show Production Manager/Social Media Manager

Jeysika has served as an intern for Pearl School of Modeling since 2018 in the roles of production manager and social media manager. Currently a sophomore at Clark Atlanta University, Jeysika has plans of making her mark in the fashion industry.

Milca Fils-Aime – Finance Manager

Sherianna Johnson – Accounting Manager

Sherianna Johnson is a graduate of Clark Atlanta University and has served as the accounting manager for Pearl School of Modeling since 2018.

Sherianna is responsible for managing student accounts that are on finance plans, and assisting with managing our books.
