Flexin’ in My Complexion!

CEO of Flexin My Completion Kheris Rogers

One of our three pillars at Pearl School of Modeling is entrepreneurship. We challenge our Pearls to create a business plan, implement it, and begin their business in their semester. We felt it important to add an entrepreneur highlight to the newsletter” to bring awareness to the numerous business owners that could positively influence our readers.

Our featured entrepreneur is Kheris Rogers. Rogers’ journey began in the first grade when she was bullied because of the color of her skin. She used that experience to create a clothing line dedicated to fighting against colorism and bullying. Rogers grandmother always told her she was “flexin’ in her complexion” hence the name of her line. Rogers and her sisters acquired a screen printer and added the phrase to t-shirts. Now 13, Rogers speaks her story at speaking engagements and advocates on social media.

This young lady has featured in New York Fashion Week (NYFW), has collaborated with NIKE, and has been recognized by Teen Vogue, Alicia Keys, Lebron James, Lupita Nyong’o, and Roc Nation just to name a few.

Her motto,”I just love my complexion, I love who I am — and everyone should.”
